Amanda Vojak PT, DPT
Amanda earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2012 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Rosalind Franklin University in 2016. Her passion for physical therapy began after experiencing multiple knee injuries during high school sports, giving her firsthand insight into the frustration of having to modify the activities you love.
As both a physical therapist and run coach, Amanda specializes in helping runners and active adults stay active, recover from injury, and improve performance without unnecessary time away from training. She believes that most running injuries are rarely from one body part and takes a full-body approach to identify the underlying contributors to pain and dysfunction. Her goal is to help runners continue doing what they love while building long-term resilience and confidence in their movement.
Amanda is also a certified running coach through UESCA, allowing her to bridge the gap between rehab and performance by integrating evidence-based run coaching principles into treatment and training plans.
Amanda incorporates strength training, movement analysis, and individualized load management strategies into her treatments to help runners return to sport safely and efficiently. She is also certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling through Kinetacore, which can help reduce pain, improve mobility and accelerate recovery.
In addition to working with runners, athletes and active adults, Amanda specializes in vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management. She has completed extensive continuing education through the American Institute of Balance and enjoys helping clients reduce dizziness, improve balance, and regain confidence after concussion or vestibular disorders, including vestibular migraine, PPPD, and post-concussion syndrome.
Amanda also has a strong interest in Pilates-based rehab and movement training. After beginning Pilates in 2015, she saw how effectively it improved body awareness, motor control and functional movement patterns. In 2022, she began teacher training through Balanced Body to further integrate these principles into patient care.
Originally from the Chicagoland area, Amanda enjoys spending time outdoor with her family, trying new restaurants, traveling and cheering on Chicago sports teams.
